Product details
A bag-in-box (BIB) consists of an outer carton and an inner liquid pouch. The pouch is fitted with a butterfly valve or another valve style, and once filled the liquid stays sealed inside while the carton gives the package its shape. It suits the filling, storage and transport of liquids such as coffee, beverages, juice and noni concentrate.
The inner pouch is available in transparent, metallized or pure aluminium material. A transparent pouch makes it easy to check the contents, while metallized and pure aluminium structures use a metal layer to improve barrier performance and reduce the effect of oxygen and light on the liquid. Several valve styles can be fitted, chosen to match the filling line and the way the product will be dispensed.
Volumes range from 1-200L, printing can be done in 0-8 colours, and the minimum order quantity is 5,000 pieces. The carton is designed together with the pouch specification, and the artwork can be produced to your requirements, with the fit between valve and carton agreed at the same time.
The format is used for coffee, beverages, juice and noni concentrate, and it is also common in edible-oil packaging bags and spout pouches - categories where the product is drawn off repeatedly. Because the inner pouch is flexible, empty pouches fold flat and take up less room in storage and transport than rigid containers.
The pouches are manufactured by Kody Packaging in Dongguan, Guangdong. Pouch lamination, pouch making, valve assembly and carton matching are the main stages, and a sample can be approved before bulk production.
