This self-seal stand-up pouch combines a three-side-seal construction with a zipper across the top. It stands firmly and can be opened and closed again, so after taking out some snacks you simply press the zipper shut - a good fit for portioning and keeping nuts, dried fruit and snack foods.
The zipper is what sets it apart from an ordinary three-side-seal pouch: the two sides of the pouch mouth carry interlocking strips, and a press of the fingers along the opening closes it, so there is no hunting for a clip each time. The base is a stand-up construction, so the pouch stands on the shelf with its display panel facing outward. The body is made from laminated material and PE, with the PE layer acting as the heat-seal layer that underpins both the zipper position and the edge seals. Where greater barrier is needed, it can also be laminated in the foil-pouch direction indicated by the product name.
Volume is made to order, printing can be done in 1-8 colours, and artwork is either supplied by the customer or designed for them. This product carries no additional accessories, and the minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces.
The main applications are food: nut and dried-fruit pouches, snack pouches, confectionery outer packaging, grain pouches and flour or sugar pouches, and it is also often used as the outer structure of a vacuum freshness pouch.
The pouches are produced by Kody Packaging in Dongguan, Guangdong. Printing, lamination, slitting, pouch making and zipper welding follow in order, and a sample can be approved from your artwork before bulk production.
